After Effects
3D Motion
I had the opportunity to design and animate this open for the US Open broadcast.  The mandate was to start deep from space, fly over a New York City of glass buildings, show four pieces of replaceable key art, and fly out to logo, all in one shot.  The city was made from a combination of DEM Earth, x-particles, some low poly models, and c4d mograph, rendered with octane.  This piece, as well as the entire package for the US Open, was produced by Thornberg & Forester.

Ultimately, lighting more closely resembling dusk won out, but here are some frames of a more daylight look.
some alternate looks
The main tool for the animation was Cinema 4D. An After Effects template was provided to the client with option to swap in the photos of their choice.
